2017 Chart Year - 12/31/16 - Week 5/52 - WeimTime Leads Thanks to Duo Cartoonist Animatic, PrinceWhateverer Hits Top 10

Once more, "Trust in Me, Child" crowns the chart. This time, it's thanks to Duo Cartoonist's new animatic for the song (it previously had a single shot animated image). This time the lead was so massive that it may end up backfiring against the song, as it now runs on 1/4 points as per policy. The animatic also brings proxy attention back to "First Flight", recovering strong 21-7. Overall this week was less competitive, so "Luna's Future (Aurelleah)" returns to the runner-up slot 4-2. "Shy Heart", soon to be officially revealed as November's top-voted song, holds to #3. Last week's topper, "Luna's Determination", takes a modest dip 1-4. Lower in the zone, "Away From Me", which debuted last week at #16, closes in all the way at #9. Next to it, "I'll Keep Trying" returns to the top 10 13-10. Find out more past the break!

2017 Chart Year - 12/24/16 - Week 4/52 - MelodicPony Lands Posthumous #1 Thanks to Minty Root

Though the chart, due to policy, was unable to reflect the mourning of MelodicPony, there has belatedly been a major achievement for him. His track Luna's Determination from 2014 finally re-enters the Trot 100 at the top spot thanks to a new animation using it by Minty Root. This is far from the first time an older song tops thanks to new attention: just last summer, Brony Polka returned to the top spot thanks to a Bronycon video. In any case, this is the biggest news on the top 10, but there's more past the zone and past the break!

2017 Chart Year - 12/17/16 - Week 3/52 - Egomania Tops in 25th Week, Hoping Re-Enters As Runner-up

What this lacks in raw debuts, it more than makes up for in surprises! Egomania, boosted by new remixes by Phoxi and Sayonara Maxwell (primarily the latter) surges to surpass its former peak of #3 to crown the chart for the first time. In addition, tailing it closely is a re-entry from back in winter of 2015/2016: Hoping by 4everfreebrony, now retooled with new instrumentation and a new vocalist, though keeping Relative|Pitch as a feature. Further down the chart, the October top 10 voted songs make waves, as Celestial Berserkers and Peppermint make new peaks and the former along with Learning from the Best, Carry On, and Warriors of Griffonstone hit the top 20. 2017 Chart Year - 12/10/16 - Week 2/52 - Ponyphonic Tops Chart With New Singles, OhPonyBoy Lands Two in Top Ten

Ponyphonic have finally released a new single and it debuts strong out of the gate, nabbing 14,000 views and 1,450 likes in its first frame, good for a number one debut. Also nabbing a high debut is OhPonyBoy, celebrating the launch of his latest album with new single "Let's Blob Again", landing at #3. This also fuels a resurgence for previous single "You Are Wonderful", which leaps back into the top 10 21-8. Also back in the zone is Smell the Roses, climbing 12-6 after debuting at #5 2 weeks ago. Other big news is that of the previous top 10, First Flight takes a particularly nasty slide 2-7 after its boost last week. Check out the rest in the full chart past the break!

2017 Chart Year - 12/3/16 - Week 1/52 - WeimTime Returns to Top, Exiark & Chi-Chi Hit New Peak

We enter a new chart year as of this week, and with it a new rebalanced chart! Now it'll have normal recurrency like the Hot 100, but because of this, points will now be weighted based on prowess. In addition, points from votes shall now come later and diminish in equal chunks as opposed to the old method of immediate addition and decrementing. Finally, the point values in the formula have been adjusted to favor votes significantly more, views a bit more, and likes significantly less.

Crowning the first chart is Trust in Me, Child, leading for a second nonconsecutive week! Joining it is its Duo Cartoonist pal First Flight, up 6-2. Also, Life Still Left in Me among others returns to the top 10, hitting a new peak of #9 in doing so! Check out the full chart past the break!

2016 Chart Year - 11/26/16 - Week 52/52 - Aurelleah Leads for 19th Week, Duo Cartoonist Fuels Top 10 Re-Entries

Luna's Future continues to lead as the launch of The Moon Rises' music video causes it to re-enter the chart at the #3 slot. Also back are songs from the Choices project, also produced by Duo Cartoonist, with Trust in Me Child up 18-2 and First Flight up 26-6, both former #1s. Also big this week are top 10 debuts from 4everfreebrony and The L-Train, the latter of who also brings his hit Fall of an Empire back to the top 10 12-8. Find out more past the break!

2016 Chart Year - 11/19/16 - Week 51/52 - Aurelleah Leads for 18th Week, 4 Top 10 Debuts

No real time to do a big summary. However, one note: if I'm not mistaken, this is Progressive Element's first top 10! Congrats. Anyway, top 100 past the break:

2016 Chart Year - 11/12/16 - Week 50/52 - Aurelleah Leads for 17th Week, PrinceWhateverer & 4everfreebrony Debut

I've got a case of the doldrums...a bunch of songs returned to the top 10 and our top 2 is still static. I will at least mention that TrojanPony makes his first top 10 ever as Carry On re-enters the Trot 100 at a new peak of #5 (it previously had a 4-week run in the spring of 2015). Find the rest of the chart past the break!

2016 Chart Year - 11/5/16 - Week 49/52 - Aurelleah Leads for 16th Week, Exiark & Chi-Chi Hit Top 10 and Neighsayer Debuts Thanks to FritzyBeat

Quite a bit of excitingness this week! Not really with No. 1, which hits 16 weeks at that spot. You know, on the American Hot 100, this would've been a record-tie, as the longest reign on that chart was the 16 weeks of One Sweet Day. However, on this chart, the record goes to half-year ruler Stop the Bats, so there's still a ways to go. In any case, we've got 2 songs coming to the top 5, one for the first time: Derby Racers (Hyperdrive Mix) jumps 6-4 in its second frame after barely being eligible last week. Right outside is the one debut: Learning from the Best by Neighsayer at No. 6. It's here thanks to a vocal take by FritzyBeat, much like Neigh Anything back last spring. We've also got a brand new top 10: Life Still Left in Me, boosted by its placement in the top 10 voted songs of September. Find out more past the break!

2016 Chart Year - 10/29/16 - Week 48/52 - Aurelleah Returns to Top Amid Re-Entry to Top 10, 4 Debuts in Zone

Aurelleah's back to the top slot with Luna's Future, but that's not the interesting. No, the cool thing is how it got back. Remember Warm Winds? Probably not: it was a minor instrumental non-hit that lasted 3 weeks back in December. Well, now it's back in full-force thanks to a proper vocal version featuring Wubcake, re-entering the charts at a new peak of No. 5! Along with Luna getting a point boost, fellow single Midnight Lament jumps back into the top ten, landing at No. 9 this week. This week is also host to a bevy of debuts, conveniently all spaced 2 places apart: Forest Rain's cover of A Changeling Can Change (No. 4), Foozogz' new remix of Derby Racers (No. 6), quite the late entry as it debuted on Thursday, General Mumble's annual Halloween frights emblemized by Death in the Treetops (No. 8), a corruption of Music in the Treetops, and a megacollab helmed by Vylet Pony entitled Like Me (No. 10). 2016 Chart Year - 10/22/16 - Week 47/52 - Notion Tops Chart After New Movie, 4everfreebrony & OhPonyBoy Land in Top 5

Notion lands his first chart topper this week in the wake of Equestria Girls 4 hype, with a remix of the movie's song The Midnight in Me. Starting with 33,000 views and 1,450 likes, it sweeps the week handily, having over double the points of the #2, Luna's Future (Aurelleah Remix). In fact, the holder barely held on this week to the #3 debut, 4everfreebrony's Bound With Time, which comes barreling in full-force with a full week of impressions and the day 1 effect, a remix by Synthis concurrently launched, and votes from September's top 10 arranged by Top Pony Music. Future beats Bound by only 2% in points. Also debuting high this week is You Are Beautiful by OhPonyBoy at No. 4. Find out more past the break!

2016 Chart Year - 10/15/16 - Week 46/52 - KC.Guzman Tops Thanks to Duo Cartoonist, PrinceWhateverer, Vylet Pony, & PVNK All Hit Top 10

It's quite the week for mainstream breakthroughs, as a whopping 5 acts have their first top 10s: first there are KC.Guzman and Megaphoric, part of the new number one track First Flight. It is featured on the Duo Cartoonist channel (much like previous topper Trust in Me Child, down 3-5 this week) and netted over 1,700 likes and 21,000 views. There's also Xavi, featured along with Chi-Chi on Vylet Pony's new top 10 Mistress, landing at No. 8. Jastrian makes his top 10 debut in a collab with Fritzy Beat called Ghosties at No. 9. Finally there are PVNK and R3CTIFIER, the latter of whom remixed the former's HORSE PARTY, which re-enters the chart at a lofty No. 10. Find out more past the break!

2016 Chart Year - 10/8/16 - Week 45/52 - Prince Whateverer Re-Enters at Top With Expansion, Vylet Pony Debuts in Top 10

It was a close race this week, but Prince Whateverer ended up taking the top spot with his cover of "The Spectacle" entitled "Spectacular". With 12,000 views and 1,250 likes, he snagged victory from incumbent Aurelleah with "Luna's Future" by only 2.7%! In other news, Vylet Pony lands yet another single from Super Pony World in the top 10, as "Pretty Girls" debuts at No. 9. Find out more past the break!

2016 Chart Year - 10/1/16 - Week 44/52 - Aurelleah Back on Top, Egomania Hits New Peak, Radiarc Debuts in Top 10

Luna's Future (Remix) is once again the #1 song on the chart, now that The Moon Rises no longer poses a threat. This is its 14th week at number one, out of 18 weeks total on the chart. The previous leader, Trust in Me Child, drops heavily in points but puts up a fight in actually relinquishing the spot, only being overtaken by Luna's Future by 9%. Our number 3 spot is also quite interesting this week, as Egomania surges 13-3, boosted by a new remix by Aviators. This is a new peak for the song, as it previously peaked at #7 thanks to a remix by Vylet Pony. Finally, Radiarc hits the top 10 for the first time as a debuter, now that Despite lands at No. 9 in its first week. Find out more past the break!

2016 Chart Year - 9/24/16 - Week 43/52 - WeimTime Leads for First Time, Sayonara Maxwell & MiatriSs tail, and Prince Whateverer Debuts

Teasing the upcoming Choices project, WeimTime leads the Trot 100 by overwhelming margins with his song "Trust in Me, Child", featuring vocals by REV and published by Duo Cartoonist, the team that will be responsible for producing an animation for the song in the future. It raked in 3,800 likes and 70,000 views, accumulating 32,500 points, enough to land straight in the year-end chart! Find the full chart along that year-end tally past the break!

2016 Chart Year - 9/17/16 - Week 42/52 - Ponyphonic Back to No. 1 for Fourth Week, PrinceWhateverer & Strigidae Debut

This ended up being quite the active week! "The Moon Rises" outperforms expectations, racking up 56,000 points with 7,700 likes and 101,500 views, rising up 2-1. This easily topples "Luna's Future (Remix)", which is down 1-2 with 6,500 points. Right behind it is PrinceWhateverer with "So Long", which previews an upcoming album being released next week, accruing 5,500 points. Also debuting in the top 10 are Let the Rainbow Remind You, a new cover by Strigidae (in his first non-remix appearance) featuring Pinkie Rose that lands at No. 7, and Verismo, a movement by The Balefire Symphony that starts at No. 8. Back in the top 10 is Egomania, boosted by the Vylet remix once more and jumping 13-8. Find out more past the break!

9/17 Forecast: The Moon Rises Returning to #1?

Still from the work-in-progress video by Duo Cartoonist
It appears that this week is a shoo-in for Ponyphonic to return to number one for a fourth total week with The Moon Rises. It's had quite the turbulent year: first with a instrumental for a brand new remaster of the track being revealed right on New Year's Eve by Duo Cartoonist, then with that remaster paying off with new vocals by Kristen Calvin, and now with the originally planned version that featured EileMonty being released a few days ago. Already, both versions have amassed enough points to topple the current leader, Aurelleah's remix of Luna's Future:

2016 Chart Year - 9/10/16 - Week 41/52 - Aurelleah Lasts a Season at the Top, Delta Brony Debuts and Spectra Hits Top 10

Once again, we've got a crazy week, though not at the top. Luna's Future (Remix) tops the chart for a 13th nonconsecutive week, widening its lead on former #1 The Moon Rises. In addition, Say Goodbye to the Holiday (Remix) tightens its margins with The Moon Rises; could it reclaim its peak #2 spot? Climbing 8-5, Under Our Spell (Remix) by Aurelleah and Orange B hits a new peak after a whopping 32 weeks on the chart. Debuting in the lofty slot of #6, Delta Brony returns to the top 10 with a eurobeat remix of A Changeling Can Change. He previously debuted higher with The Spectacle (Remix) at #5 and In Our Town (Remix) at #4. Also new to the top 10 is Luna's Future (Remix) by Spectra, which jumps 14-8 in its 12th week on the chart. Compounding, his remix of Welcome to the Show hits a new peak 27-26. Finally, Dare Master from last week survives in the zone, only falling 3-10. Find out more past the break!

2016 Chart Year - 9/3/16 - Week 40/52 - Aurelleah Tops 12th Frame, Wasteland Wailers & 4everfreebrony Debut, and Silva Hound Rushes Into Top 10 Once More

Kicking off our fall season, we...still have the song of the summer on the top which feels like a winter song. Still, there's eventful news: Wasteland Wailers, teaming up once more with Brittany Church, launch their new single "Dare Master" up to #3. In addition, 4everfreebrony finally returns from a mission and releases his new track "Stay", which lands all the way at #5. The one other big tidbit comes from Silva Hound, whose track "Egomania" (featuring BLACKGRYPH0N) hits a new peak of #7 thanks to a remix by Vylet Pony. Find out more past the break!

2016 Chart Year - 8/27/16 - Week 39/52 - Aurelleah Leads 11th Week, Metajoker & Respin Back in Top 10, WeimTime Returns to Trot 100

Quite the active week! Become (26-8) and Brony Polka (10-5) surge up the charts once more thanks to JHaller's video top 10 for July and WeimTime returns to the chart for the first time since the rule change. For those unaware, WeimTime is a production team focused on making tutorial videos using the popular software Synthesia. In mid-2015, a rule change prevented instruction songs from being eligible, eliminating the artist's presence on the chart. Now, however, the team has created a brand new arrangement in the orchestral style of Rainbow Factory, and it debuts in the loft slot of #4! Find out more past the break.

2016 Chart Year - 8/20/16 - Week 38/52 - Aurelleah Leads 10th Week, OhPonyBoy Debuts Third Single from Stellae Key in Top 10

Aurelleah takes a tenth week atop the chart, but its days might actually be numbered. It leads with 6,900 points, and The Moon Rises, holding at No. 2, declines more slowly at 6,300 points. Outside of that, OhPonyBoy lands a new single in the top 10: We Better Get the Funk Out, debuting at No. 6. This beats the peaks of the previous singles from the Stellae Key album: Mox Supra Jupiter (No. 7) and Mr. Trustable (No. 8). Full chart available past the break!

2016 Chart Year - 8/6/16 - Week 36/52 - Aurelleah Back to Top, Sim Gretina Back in Top 10

After the flood of music videos last week, the top 3 returns to stability, as Luna's Future (Remix), The Moon Rises, and Say Goodbye to the Holiday (Remix) all jump 3 positions. Last week's #1, Brony Polka, drops to #4, Twilight Sunshine Remix crashes 2-15, and Become braces 3-7. This was a quiet week for debuts, as the top debut is Morning Tea by Vylet Pony, landing outside the top 20 at #21. Find out more past the break!

2016 Chart Year - 7/30/16 - Week 35/52 - AnimatedJames Returns Brony Polka to Top for Fifth Frame, Top 3 Taken Thanks to Music Videos

After 7 weeks of relatively normal levels of activity, we get a major week of turbulence thanks to a wave of new videos. As predicted, "Brony Polka" takes #1 with 17,400 points. It was actually a close match thanks to "Twilight Sunshine Remix", promoted by LittleShyFIM (famous for the CinemareSins series) through a new PMV and landing at #2 with 16,500 points. It's actually the top song of views this week; Brony Polka gains its advantage through likes. Also re-entering near the summit is "Become", promoted through a new video by JuiceboxAlvin, reaching a new peak of #3. It was close between this and the last topper "Luna's Future" (8,900 to 8,500 points), which settles for #4. Also re-entering is "Destiny", which won Best in Show at Bronycon for its new music video. Peculiarly, it only reached #16 in this frame, which is still a new peak for the song. Only "Become" and "Destiny" can count on their original audio uploads for points since they're less than a year old. Find out more on this chart past the break!

7/30 Forecast: "Brony Polka" to #1?!

Still from the new music video produced by Viva Reverie
Bronycon has come upon us, and with it, a wave of PMVs have arrived for a variety of legacy tracks. Among them is Brony Polka, the former 4 week #1, ready to take its fifth frame. It has already amassed over 9,100 views and 2,200 likes thanks to its brand new music video made by Viva Reverie, a surefire security for #1 as the current leader, Luna's Future (Remix), is losing points and is down to 11,000 as of last week.

2016 Chart Year - 7/23/16 - Week 34/52 - Aurelleah Atop Seven Weeks, Eurobeat Brony Debuts

Aurelleah's Luna's Future remix leads a seventh consecutive week. More notable is that The Moon Rises returns to #2, knocking Say Goodbye to the Holiday down from its peak back to #3. Aurelleah takes a sixth week atop, and microThunder continues on its tail, though in close contention with The Moon Rises. In addition, climbing to #4 is It's Gonna Work by JoinedTheHerd, after spending its first two weeks at #5. The L-Train climbs back to the top 10 11-10 after getting featured in May's Voting Top 10. 2016 Chart Year - 7/9/16 - Week 32/52 - Aurelleah Tops Once More, microThunder Hits New Peak

"Luna's Future", while slowly cooling down (it pulls in 13,100 points this week), holds onto the top spot of the chart for a fifth consecutive week. On its tail is "Say Goodbye to the Holiday", which finally reaches #2 after being stranded at #3 for four consecutive weeks. It too drops, but not as hard to 8,400 points. Could it eventually crown? No top 10 debuts this week, but remixes fuel some unexpected comebacks: two boost "Little Dreams" from #81 all the way back to #29, and one jumpstarts "Insane" 50-30. 2014's Chart Year's Number Ones

Now, keep in mind that the formula back then was somewhat batso. Music video weighting wasn't a thing, likes weren't a thing, and the balance of votes and views was set every week. Still, the Brony Music Billboard (what this chart was called back then) did produce serviceable charts, just with a bunch of songs that wouldn't be considered eligible now. So, to allow for proper archiving, here are the #1 hits for each available week conforming to the current date and eligibility standards:

2016 Chart Year - 7/2/16 - Week 31/52 - Aurelleah Leads a Fourth Frame, Caleb Hyles Tails With Debuts From JoinedTheHerd & Silva Hound

"Luna's Future (Remix)" takes a fourth week by (snow)storm, holding up 16,800 points in the face of stiff competition once again. This time, the runnerup is Caleb Hyles, backed by Ponyphonic's instrumental for a vocal cover of "Lullaby for a Princess", entering the chart with 12,200 points. Once again, marooned at No. 3 is "Say Goodbye to the Holiday (Remix)", this time with 9,500 points, a bit of a decrease from last week. Find out more past the break!

2016 Chart Year - 6/25/16 - Week 30/52 - Aurelleah Nabs Third Week, Magpiepony Brings Another Public Domain Artist to Top 10

"Luna's Future" proves to be an indomitable force, racking up a third consecutive week on top of the chart, even in the face of a giant debut. This week, that threat comes from Magpiepony, using a Jay Man public domain melody as the basis for her song "I'll Keep Trying", raising 18,100 points in comparison to the leader's 20,000. This keeps "Say Goodbye to the Holiday" at bay at No. 3 once more, though it gets stronger with 10,200 points this week.

2016 Chart Year - 6/18/16 - Week 29/52 - Aurelleah Holds No. 1, Takes 3 More Slots in Top 10

2016 Chart Year - 6/11/16 - Week 28/52 - Aurelleah Takes No. 1, Top 10 Split Between Snow and Brooms

So, last week the show debuted a musical episode, and this week the show debuted an episode featuring a tiny little ditty. Somehow, both have giant presences in the top 10 on the charts! I thought last week was bonkers, but now we have acts like Feral FurE, who makes his chart debut right in the zone, and Dynamite Grizzly, who lands his first top 10. Check it all out below!

Detailed stats and year-end (boosted to 50 positions instead of 48) below. Halfway through the year!

Also, Ponyville 2016 has been retroactively reweighted due to it coming from a signed artist who is not a brony and who only has that song appealing to bronies among his other songs. Expect those fixes to be applied soon.

2016 Chart Year - 5/21/16 - Week 25/52 - Ponyphonic Nab Third Week, Aoshi Back in Top 10

Streamlined format for now. (Updated with Detailed Stats & Year-End) (Updated again due to "Ponyville 2016" reweight and "The Spectacle (RVZZLE DVZZLE Mix)" not going recurrent. Additionally, "Power Ponies GO!" was not weighted correctly, but the correction does not affect its position. The Year-End is unedited, reflecting the original points from 4/30, 5/7, 5/14, and 5/21)

2016 Chart Year - 5/7/16 - Week 23/52 - Ponyphonic Tops Chart With New Version of Classic, OhPonyBoy Hits Top 10

Fandom mainstays Ponyphonic get their first chart topper on the Equestrian Trot 100 this week, as a revamped version of "The Moon Rises" smashes what would otherwise still be a landslide week for "Ponyville 2016". In addition, the next video for the Stellae Key epic launched, providing OhPonyBoy with a new top 10 with "Mr. Trustable".

2016 Chart Year - 4/16/16 - Week 20/52 - Mandopony and Pinkie Rose Top the Charts Again Thanks to Viral Video, Synthis Debuts in Top 10

Happy belated April Fools! No, I'm not going to pull something stupid like allow official non-show songs in like I did last year. However, the rules have allowed for clips of songs to be eligible, and the rules have allowed for recurrent songs to re-enter with new versions, and my goodness did the internet throw me a bone here: The Smile Song, covered by Mandopony in 2012, and given new vocals by Pinkie Rose, is now on the chart all the way at the top!

Friday, March 25, 2016

2016 Chart Year - 4/9/16 - Week 19/52 - BLACKGRYPH0N & Michelle Creber Debut at No. 1, FluttERR Returns to Top 10

The next single from the Getting Stronger album has been released, and like the previous two, it manages to top the chart upon its debut! "Here We Are", the sequel to "Crusader (Are We There Yet?)" off of IMmortal tops the charts thanks to 2,150 likes and 17,500 views, racking up a total of 13,000 points, giving it more than triple the points of its direct competition, which is the title track of the upcoming album. 2016 Chart Year - 4/2/16 - Week 18/52 - Neigh Anything Returns to No. 1, Little Sunshine Back in Top 10

Sim Gretina and Fritzy Beat are back at the summit with "Neigh Anything", experiencing a boost in views thanks to a placement on the top 10 videos chart (for purposes of this chart, the song is not categorized as having a music video and thus is not weighted against). In addition, "Little Sunshine" returns in a big move 15-10. What had to crash to allow for such a move? Well, you'll see...

2016 Chart Year - 3/26/16 - Week 17/52 - FluttERR remains at top in new weight, 3 Songs Return to Top 10

In a rather quiet week for the chart, only 6 songs debut and a lot of songs recover substantially. In addition, due to FluttERR's status.

2016 Chart Year - 3/19/16 - Week 16/52 - FluttERR still No. 1, WoodLore and EnergyTone Debut, and Glaze swaps with Himself

FluttERR leads the chart for a 5th week (4th consecutive), while the rest of the top 10 gets shaken up by 2 debuts and a re-entry. In addition, Prototype (VIP) finally falls to the Top 2 recurrency rule (which applies after 39 weeks), but Glaze has a replacement due to Lost on the Moon re-entering, now thanks to a remix by microThunder!

2016 Chart Year - 3/12/16 - Week 15/52 - Aoshi & Rina-chan Take Year, Aurelleah Lands Track in Top 10

Pack your bags? FluttERR blows up into the stratosphere this week thanks to its exposure from JHaller2's Top Ten Pony Videos list, more than quintupling its overall points and taking the year-end by a giant margin.

2016 Chart Year - 3/5/16 - Week 14/52 - Sim Gretina Debuts At Top Thanks to Fritzy Beat

FluttERR remains at No. 1, but with a substantial boost in points thanks to its placement as an honorable mention on the "Top Ten Pony Videos of January 2016" list, compiled by JHaller2. It thus makes a 175% surge in points, giving it an incredible lead over any other song on the chart.

This is in particular bad news for our top debut this week, "Neigh Anything", originally by Sim Gretina and vocalized by Fritzy Beat with a guest appearance from Melody Note. With around 7,700 points, it has over double the amount of points of our usual standby Prototype VIP, and would've #1 in almost any other week of the year. Better luck next time?

In any case, we've got one big announcement to make: I've finally figured out an efficient way to publish the full top 100 in text (or rather table) form! Let me know in the comments what you think of it.

UPDATE: FluttERR has been reweighted, and as a side effect, Neigh Anything lands at #1 this week.

2016 Chart Year - 2/27/16 - Week 13/52 - Aoshi & Rina-chan Return to No. 1; Top Ten Stabilizes

After gracefully acceding the top at a respectable runner-up slot, FluttERR returns to the top of the Trot 100. In addition, after the insane previous week where we ended up with 5 top 10 debuts, the top 10 returns to business as usual, as several top 10 mainstays return, with some getting a boost from that third metric...

2016 Chart Year - 2/20/16 - Week 12/52 - Ink Rose & Baasik debut at No. 1, PON3 lands 3 top 10s and OhPonyBoy debuts

In what is possibly one of the busiest weeks on record, we have not only a number one debut, but also the relative strength of the previous topper, the debuts of 3 songs off a 4 song EP, and the debut of another song!

2016 Chart Year - 2/13/16 - Week 11/52 - Aoshi & Rina-chan lead, Mush debuts

As predicted in the previous (and first) speculation post, FluttERR ends up the No. 1 song of the week by a landslide, giving Aoshi and Rina-chan their first No. 1 on the Trot 100. In addition, we've got some deja vu going on, as a remix of The Spectacle is No. 9 again, but not the same one...

2/13 Forecast: Aoshi and Rina-chan Poised for First No. 1

Aoshi, having cycled away from the mainstream of brony music in recent years, could be proxied right back into the limelight thanks to upcoming chart success. His song "FluttERR", a collaboration with Rina-chan and released first on Four's Fall Down, then added to solo album Inizholyze in 2013, could finally get its chance to enter the Trot 100 all the way at the top!

This is thanks to a new music video released by Skill Draw, a brony animator who gained major fame (and millions of views) off of humanized animations of the music video for Fluttershy's Lament and BLACKGRYPH0N's Ponylicious series. The music video, once again in the humanized style and having a humanized Spike standing in for Aoshi, stands at ~19,500 views and ~1,600 likes as of this writing, good for 11,000 points at the moment, more than double of the No. 1 last week. Will something come along to overthrow it at the last minute? Even if that happens, it's safe to say we'll have a brand new No. 1 on the charts this Friday!

Stay tuned for the article with the final data over the weekend.

2016 Chart Year - 2/6/16 - Week 10/52 - Glaze Still is on Top, JayB & 4everfreebrony Debut

I promise these articles won't always have boring intros; we just need a new No. 1 for that! (Luckily, to be elaborated in a post coming soon, that won't likely be a problem for much longer...). In any case, we've got 2 top 10 debuts, so let's look at that and some of the top 40 action!

2016 Chart Year - 1/30/16 - Week 9/52 - Prototype Returns Once More, GhostXb & Chi-Chi Debut

At this point, Prototype (VIP) has now led for a season's worth of weeks, though non-consecutive. However, there's a bit more news below the surface... With that out of the way, let's dive into the top 10 and top 40 highlights along with other tracks of note!

2016 Chart Year - 1/16/16 & 1/23/16 - Week 7/52 & Week 8/52 - Video Catch-up Weeks

However, I have something that may more than make up for it: videos for the full top 40s! Find the two for which no corresponding article has been written here and a full playlist of the past 8 weeks past the break along with the promised year-end update!
